This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Middlesex in major matches since the club was founded in 1864. The Middlesex teams formed by earlier organisations, dating back to the 18th century, had major cricket teams and so the county club is rated accordingly since its inception: i.e., classified as an ''unofficial'' first-class team by substantial sources from 1864 to 1894; classified as an ''official'' first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;〔Birley, p. 145.〕 and classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=CricketArchive )〕 The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Middlesex player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other major teams besides Middlesex. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2015 season.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=CricketArchive )〕 ==A== * David Abbey (1967) : D. R.
